Today I am thankful for memories of Thanksgiving pasts.  The other day, dad and I were driving home from shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, talking about how  Thanksgiving weekend used to be. For as long as I can remember, Thanksgiving was at my Grandparents.  We would leave Wednesday after school and come home Sunday afternoon.  Thanksgiving morning, we were always told that we were on our own for breakfast but every year we would wake up to donuts.  The day was spent helping Grandma cook, eating the stuffing as the turkey cooked (and getting yelled at for it), waiting in line for the bathroom and just hanging out.  When it came time to dinner everyone's place was set and we sat down to eat. When I was younger, there was the kids table and the adult table. Today I am thankful for my past.  Everything from my past has lead me to where I am today.  Every decision I have ever made.  Every choice I have made. Each has played a part in where I have made it so far in life.  A person can not go back and change their past and I personally wouldn't want to because at some point in my life that choice was something that I wanted. 

Today I am thankful for all the pictures I have ever taken or received from others.  Summer of 2010- Grandpa Ehrman and me Pictures can be used to tell a story. Today I am thankful for the time I get to spend with my cousins.  Today I got to babysit my two youngest cousins and we had a blast together. We ran errands then went out to lunch together (along with my dad).  The short amount of time that we were together today made me realize that I don't spend enough time with any of my cousin, especially the younger ones. There are so many of us and we're all spread out that it makes it difficult to, but I need to try harder.  Spending time with them today also brought back some memories from when I was younger. Us older cousins used to spend what seemed like every summer together at my grandparents.  I'm lucky enough to have those memories.  One day, I hope I'm just as lucky to be able to look back and have amazing memories with the younger cousins as I do with the ones my age.  

The other day, I was going through my timehop app when this appeared.  This post took me back to what was one of my greatest summers ever. I remember this trip like it was just yesterday; not six years ago. It was the summer between my Sophomore and Junior years of high school and I had spent half of it with my grandparents.  They had come up at the beginning of July for my cousins birthday and a few days later, we set out for a month of making memories.  The trip was filled with shopping, camping, boating, learning new things, but most importantly it was full of quality time I got to spend with them and other members of my wonderful family.  That summer was also full of many firsts for me.  First time camping at Lake Shelbyville.
