Today I am thankful for sales. Last year, the day after Christmas, I was able to buy a brand new Christmas Tree and decorations for under $30.  I can't wait to put up all my new decorations and the ones handed down from my Grandma.  However, I am going to wait because they don't get put up until the Friday after Thanksgiving. 

For the first time in a long time it's starting to feel like we have a home. We have always had a place to live but that's all they have ever felt like. They were just a place to live but this place finally feels like home. After moving twice in one year, I started to think that we were just going to have another place to live instead of a home. At first that is what it felt like. The house was filled with ALL of our belongings, we had our dogs, but something was missing. It still didn't feel like home. That feeling lasted until the other day when my dad did something small to the house. He hung up family pictures. It's amazing how something so small can have such a large impact on how you feel about something. Something as small as hanging pictures can change how you feel about the difference between a house and a home.
