As Summer 2019 quickly comes to an end I thought I would take a minute to reflect on how amazing it was.  At first,time was moving slowly but before I knew it, Summer was coming to an end. This Summer consisted of many fun adventures to familiar places. We started of with a trip to the one our favorite vacation spots... MYRTLE BEACH, SC. This was my dad and I's sixth trip to Myrtle Beach and it is something I look forward to in the summer.   When we get ready to leave on any trip, we like to post about how we're out looking for a store instead of posting exactly where we're going. When it comes time to leave for Myrtle Beach our go to phrase is "Out looking for Walmart."  After two days in the car, we ended up at Walmart. Following a quick trip to Walmart to stock up on food and drinks for the week, finally made it to our hotel. Today I am thankful for the beach.  With the weather getting colder here, it makes me appreciate the time we have spent at the beach during the summer more.  Last night, the strong winds from the storm sounded like waves coming in off the ocean. That sound and the memories from trips to the beach make the reality that winter and snow are coming easier to handle because each day of winter that passes means we are one day closer to spring and summer.  I love the winter, snow, and cold but I rather be sitting on the beach. 

The other day, I was going through my timehop app when this appeared.  This post took me back to what was one of my greatest summers ever. I remember this trip like it was just yesterday; not six years ago. It was the summer between my Sophomore and Junior years of high school and I had spent half of it with my grandparents.  They had come up at the beginning of July for my cousins birthday and a few days later, we set out for a month of making memories.  The trip was filled with shopping, camping, boating, learning new things, but most importantly it was full of quality time I got to spend with them and other members of my wonderful family.  That summer was also full of many firsts for me.  First time camping at Lake Shelbyville.
